The past ten weeks of the coronavirus pandemic have been unique, to say the least, but there have been some constants we could all count on. The love of family and friends stands out the most, but not far behind are aspects of being at Wintergreen that make it so special. As it does here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the spring weather brought the most stunning colors imaginable, both up on the mountain and down in the valley. The last couple months have been a valuable reminder of how fortunate we are to enjoy life here at Wintergreen.

As spring turns into summer, the coronavirus has slowly started to retreat, and we have been developing plans to re-open as regulations and prudence allow. While we want to be in full swing as soon as possible, we are being appropriately cautious in an effort to do what we can to help provide a safer atmosphere for our staff and our guests.

Some of the steps we are taking involve cleaning and operational protocols for the benefit of all our constituents’ health. We have been spending a lot of time studying CDC guidance and industry best practices for food and beverage service, hospitality, ski, golf, retail, and other operations, and we are incorporating this information appropriately as it applies to Wintergreen. As we continue to follow social distancing and other best practices, we are employing screening processes for our associates which includes monitoring temperatures, asking health assessment questions, and wearing PPE equipment when social distancing guidelines cannot be reasonably met. You can view the full COVID-19 guidelines here.

We look forward to welcoming more of our guests back to the Resort as the summer unfolds. We hope you will make plans to spend lots of time at Wintergreen this summer enjoying the crisp mountain air and the amenities and programming of the Resort as conditions allow. To help with your planning, please read through the summary of activities and schedules below that are planned or in place, and please know we remain focused on providing you a welcoming, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable atmosphere when you come to Wintergreen. We hope to see you often.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we make this transition to re-open the Resort.
