What a beautiful weekend it was.
I hope you got to enjoy a few runs over the weekend because it was fantastic conditions. If you didn’t, don’t fret because this week looks just as spectacular.
The past few days featured some of the best slope conditions of the season area-wide.
Kenny and I were fortunate to make the trip to Beech Mountain on Friday and goodness the conditions were incredible.
In case you missed it, Kenny shared this video late Friday night of one of the first runs of the day.
If you can’t tell, Kenny was just a little bit excited.
The powder was better than I even expected as we kept getting refills throughout the day.
It was nice to be in the snow soaking it all in.
Those fantastic conditions carried over into the weekend and this week.
This morning, we are watching some light snow move across the North Carolina mountains, but there will be no major accumulations (maybe an inch at the highest elevations).
The big story for the first part of the week is the cold temperatures and the snowmaking window that our mountain operation guys will have.
Our own Brad Panovich shared his latest Skier’s Forecast late last night and things continue to look fantastic.
Hopefully, we can keep that pattern in our favor.

Social Shares
With a weekend as fantastic as this was, the resorts were crushing it on social media.
First off, I love when resorts show some love to the mountain operation crews that keep the conditions top notch.
Bryce Resort shared these fantastic scenes from Saturday’s grooming session.
Snowshoe also shared a great photo from inside one of their groomers over the weekend.
I think it would be an interesting experience to watch these guys work their magic one day.
Speaking of magic, the sunrises were pretty magical.
Winterplace shared these fantastic shots from Sunday morning.
Appalachian Ski Mountain’s Sunrise Sunday also didn’t disappoint.
Mike mentioned yesterday that he highly recommends visiting Resortcams at around 7am each morning to check out the sunrises and I second that motion.
It is often awe-inspiring.
Ski Sapphire Valley showed off their excellent conditions on Saturday as well.
Ski Sapphire is currently playing Friday-Sunday only right now, but they have had a great season so far.
Last but not least, Wolf Ridge was showing off on Sunday with some fantastic shots.
Brian Dix was out at Wolf on Saturday so be on the lookout for his trip report later today.
That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
