We’ve just received another video forecast from Meteorologist Brad Panovich. Just off the heels of the most recent winter storm, we’ve got another two fronts headed our way. The first comes late tonight and into Thursday and brings "a mixed bag of just about everything" to the region! For North Carolina and Virginia we are looking at wintry mess of sleet, rain, freezing rain, and snow. So, the Virginia ski areas who have remained dry this season as far as natural snow is concerned may actually see a few inches. Warming temperatures coming up out of the Gulf will may cause inversions to occur, with temperatures on top of the ski area summits being a few degrees higher than temperatures in the valleys.
The second front comes along later in the week and into the weekend, and this may bring more snow! The weekend front is just taking shape so it’s hard to say exactly what type of winter weather the area may get.
