We have now received reports from several of our On-Snow Reporters. If you have a snowtotal to report send it to [email protected]

One of our guys was up at Fred’s on Beech Mountain at lunchtime (we’re putting another camera in) and he reported 3" MORE since this morning up on Beech Mountain.

Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia has seen another 3" of snow today as well. That’s 8" in the last 24 hours, and 18" on the season.

Others have reported 1" or so in Boone, North Carolina, 5" near the Tennessee line, and it seems like 3" additional accumulation is the norm across the region. That’s on top of from a dusting to 5" that was received yesterday. The wind is certainly pushing things around but we have a WHITE Winter wonderland in the region right now and snowguns are also firing all across the southeast.

The road conditions are fine on all of the main highways as traffic has kept the roads clear. Certainly secondary roads and neighborhoods (where your lodging may be) have snow cover but are easily driveable at this time.

More…later.
