Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

It is going to be a great day to don your green and hit the slopes to celebrate with a few laps.

Wednesday is going to be on the mild side, but for the most part, we look dry until later in the evening. Take a look at some of these shots from Resortcams this morning.

The sun is peeking through the trees at App Ski Mountain this morning.
The views never get old from Wintergreen’s Top of the Skyline camera.
Nor does this view ever get old from Beech Mountain. The camera doesn’t really do it justice though.
Snowshoe looks ready to roll on this beautiful morning.
Timberline is in for a great day as well.

It was kinda wild seeing the temperature swing this morning across the region – some areas are 20° warmer compared to yesterday. That sets the tone for the day as we could see highs reach the 60’s today.

Today’s gear list may need to include t-shirts and sunglasses.

The conditions continue to hold steady as there is plenty of snow to play on and base depths are holding up strong.

For the latest conditions, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

The weather tonight and tomorrow may not cooperate as well as thunderstorms and rain are in the forecast. We are definitely sending safe thoughts to those in the south that could be in the middle of a severe outbreak over the next couple of days.

If you are planning on riding tonight or tomorrow, be sure to be weather aware as well as please note that operations could be impacted by the weather.

The weekend is looking fantastic – we could even see some snow at the northern resorts on Friday depending on how much moisture is left.

That would be a fantastic cap to end the week.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
