The sound of snowmaking was alive and well on Cheat Mountain.
Snowshoe Mountain Resort cranked up snowmaking operations on Tuesday afternoon after the West Virginia resorts along with a couple of the Virginia resorts saw some light snow and cold temperatures move into the area.
Snowshoe posted this cool video of the mountain operation crews doing their thing last night.
Morning light shows a winter wonderland shaping up.
As I mentioned, Snowshoe wasn’t the only one to receive a fresh dusting of snow.

Wintergreen and Timberline also shared videos that got everyone in the Ski Southeast office excited.
The best part? We could see some more light snow and snowmaking temperatures over the coming days.
