It is time to ski and board for a good cause.
Beech Mountain kicked off the Runs for Buns virtual auction on Monday as the resort teams up with the Colon Cancer Coalition to raise money and awareness for colon cancer.
The week wraps up with the annual Runs for Buns event on Saturday, March 6.
Runs for Buns is similar to a run or walk-a-thon, but it is done on the snow as you make laps on the slopes.
It is great to ski and ride for a great cause.
If you are unable to get to Beech Mountain on Saturday, you can participate in the virtual auction where they have some pretty sweet items up for grabs

The best part – the proceeds go to help support colon cancer screening, prevention, and patient support programs.
Our resorts do fantastic work in their communities, and we will highlight more special events over the month of March.
As for today, it is going to be a fantastic day on the slopes, and it looking like it will be an incredible week as well.
Brad shared his latest forecast last night, and it was pretty good news considering we are in March.
A handful of resorts were able to crank up snowmaking overnight to refresh the slopes, and the results are making for some fantastic conditions.

With a few snowmaking windows and dry days, this is shaping up to be another great week to be on the slopes.

App Ski Mountain was one of the resorts able to crank snowmaking last night.
One quick note about App, they also announced that Midnight Blast Weekends are back starting this Friday and Saturday.
Cataloochee was also able to make snow and they are kicking off their One Big Day Sale today.
This past weekend was a great event at Canaan Valley and Timberline called Light Up The Valley, and it looked pretty awesome.
Massanutten is hosting the 4K on the Fairway this weekend. Another outstanding event raising money for charity.
Wisp held a photo contest this past weekend, and here is the winning shot.
Omni Homestead is hosting a Luau this weekend to celebrate the end of their season. The coconut shrimp has my attention.
