Snow sports are getting an added boost this weekend at The Omni Homestead Resort. Skiers and snowboarders can ski from 3,200 feet, our highest elevation, beginning Thursday, Jan. 14. The resort is also extending the hours for tubing until 7 p.m. and adding firepits on the deck for s’mores on Saturday and Sunday.
“We’ve been making snow at every opportunity and are excited to open to the top for the weekend,” said James DeBoe, director of recreation for the resort. “We also thought it would be fun to keep tubing open later and think guests will enjoy tubing at night under the lights.”
Guests can also enjoy Kober’s BBQ & Brews featuring house smoked wings, brisket, pork, venison chili and frosty local brews this Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. S’mores kits will be available for purchase at Kober’s and guests can use any of the three new firepits or the indoor and outdoor fireplaces on a first come, first served basis. DJ Ben will provide entertainment from noon to 4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday.
