Old Man Winter is going to join the party for the last weekend of the season.
As we head into the final weekend of the 2021-22 campaign, winter is going to stop by and say hello as we could see snow showers and cooler temperatures for the weekend.
Snowshow could be the big winner this weekend. Check out this closing weekend forecast from the National Weather Service.
Pretty sweet.
Our own Brad Panovich posted a North Carolina accumulation map last night on Twitter.
March is a wild month and this weekend we get a repeat of winter weather. Frost is likely in a few spots and some mountain snow. #cltwx #ncwx #scwx #wcnc pic.twitter.com/6wjU0gA9DC

Those feel like temperatures sure are cold.
It will be a great way to send the season out with a bang.
For Friday, we will see increasing clouds, but it will be a nice cooler day.
For the latest conditions, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.
There are four open resorts, and here is a quick snapshot at where they stand as we head into the weekend.
Beech Mountain – Beech is rolling with eight trails and three lifts open for today. They are reporting a groomed surface with a 20-40″ base. Today’s featured image is from Beech.
Cataloochee – Cat is riding on four trails and three lifts today. They are reporting a machine-worked surface with a 14-33″ base.
Snowshoe Mountain – Snowshoe is reporting spring conditions with a 34″ base. They are playing on 25 trails and five lifts for Friday.
Sugar Mountain – Sugar is playing on a loose and frozen granular surface with nine slopes and four lifts in operation.
Beech Mountain will wrap up their 2021-22 season on Saturday, while Cataloochee, Snowshoe, and Sugar will conclude after Sunday sessions.
This closing weekend is shaping up to be really sweet.
That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
