Today’s featured image is from App Ski Mountain – look at that perfect snow.
January keeps being awesome.
With a little more snow on Monday, the start of the 2021 portion of the season has been fantastic.
Accumulations weren’t anything major – Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, and Cataloochee all received two inches of fresh powder – but it was enough to keep the excitement high as we head towards the middle of the month and the busy holiday weekend.
Winterplace shared this great Facebook Live to showcase the Monday conditions at the resort.
While the snow is fantastic, the story of the week is this impressive snowmaking window that the resorts are working with – which should lead to more open terrain.
Sweet.
Just about every resort was able to crank up snowmaking operations on Monday and Monday night and will have plenty of opportunities this week.
That means conditions are going to be incredible as the slopes are continually getting refreshed.
We are also watching Friday and Saturday for a little northwest flow snow event, but we will let Brad talk about that in his next update.
Keep on doing the #ThinkSnow thing, please, because it seems to be working.
