Conditions are looking nice as we kick off the week.
After a great weekend, Monday looks to be just as nice as resorts have been able to take advantage of nearly around-the-clock snowmaking the past couple of days.
We have five resorts open for play today and the snow looks inviting at each one. Here is a quick look at the conditions at each of the five open resorts.
App Ski Mountain is playing on eight trails with five lifts, and they are reporting a 34-44″ base with groomed conditions.
Beech Mountain is reporting a 22-34″ base with groomed snow with five trails and three lifts available for play today.
Cataloochee has seven trails serviced by four lifts, and they are riding on a 24-32″ base with groomed conditions.
Snowshoe is skiing on a 30″ base with groomed conditions, and they are playing on 15 trails and four lifts in operation.
Sugar Mountain is offering eight slopes for play with four lifts spinning, and they are reporting a manmade and frozen granular surface atop a 25-70″ base.
All five resorts were making snow at 8a this morning, and they will continue to do so today as long as conditions allow.
It was great to see updates from the slopes this weekend and it looked like those who were able to get out had some excellent conditions.
Bryce Resort hosted their Ullr celebration this weekend as they opened for skiing and snowboarding on Saturday and Sunday. The party looked like a blast.
For some reason, we are unable to share the video, but you can go check it out on Facebook by clicking here.
Timberline hosted their Preview Weekend as well on Saturday and Sunday with incredible conditions.
Today’s featured image is from Timberline from before Sunday’s preview session.
Timberline has set Friday, Dec. 3 as opening day for the season, while we don’t have an exact date for Bryce’s opening just yet.
That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
