A Brief Midweek Taste Of Spring

We are going to have a taste of spring for the next couple of days.

A brief mild-up is going to occur on Wednesday and Thursday before the cold air and snowmaking returns for the weekend.

As one of the resorts shared yesterday, don’t let the mild temperatures scare you there is plenty of snow to play on.

For the full details, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

If you are making turns, you can expect some softer and more playful snow areawide, but it will still be a lot of fun.

We may see temperatures reach the low 60s and upper 50s today, and tomorrow will be a tad cooler but we will be dealing with a little bit of underdeveloped snow (aka rain).

From there, colder air will come in behind and eyes are on the Sunday system to see exactly what it will produce (it is looking like a mix currently but we are a tad out).

Roller coaster weather is part of life in the mountains.

Even with some of the milder temperatures over the next couple of days, this weekend is still looking pretty good as the mountain op crews should be able to work their magic.

Speaking of magic, how about the beautiful view in today’s photo of the day from Ober Mountain?

Absolutely incredible.
