The roller coaster starts here.
Tuesday is looking incredible with fantastic snow conditions across the region before we have a bit of a roller coaster ride weather-wise where we see mildish weather before cooler temps return – just in time for the holiday weekend.
Whew, that was a mouth full.
Things are looking pretty fantastic for today.
Not going to lie – I am pretty jealous of those being able to hit the slopes at rope drop today.
I was able to slide over to Beech Mountain last night for a few runs, and it was a great night for skiing.
The crowds were pretty low so chair lift wait was minimal – if at all – and snowmaking operations were providing a quality refresh.
We always talk about the manmade blizzard, but they were putting the snow down last night.
It was amazing how quickly the manmade stuff was piling up on the slopes, and it was a lot of fun to play in.
That scene was playing out all across the region as resorts took advantage of the snowmaking window.
The amount of snow that was put down by the mountain operation crews is flat-out amazing when you look at some of the jump in base depths – a huge #ThankASnowmaker this morning.

Our own Brad Panovich shared his latest Skier’s Forecast overnight and talks about this week’s roller-coaster ride.
While the next couple of days will be on the milder side, the holiday weekend is looking pretty nice if you have a trip planned.
If you are looking to plan a last-minute trip to the mountains, today would be a great time to start looking as we have saw a couple of resorts announce they have reached the capacity of some sort for Saturday (and in one case Saturday and Sunday).
We will have more on that as we get closer to the weekend.
That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
