3" of rain was recorded up at Seven Devils, 5.5" at our office down at the bottom of Seven Devils and 3" over towards Boone.

Here's a short clip showing Watauga River swollen at the Sleepy Hollow covered bridge.

Some ski areas may be closed after this kind of damage and others will certainly weather it better.
