Area Description:
Timberline Resort is a favorite of visitors to the region for a number of reasons. One is the amount of snow they receive—an average of 150
inches per season. Another is its challenging terrain that offers 36 trails with something for everyone. Experienced skiers and snowboarders will find all sorts of steeps, moguls and bumps throughout Timberline's terrain. However, beginners love the two-mile-long Salamander trail because of its gentle slope,
which makes for a great place to practice turns, etc.
During good snowfalls, visitors can enjoy miles of cross country skiing terrain.
Beginner and experienced snowboarders love Timberline as well, because not only is
Snow Boarding in WV allowed on all of its slopes and trails,
but there are two distinct terrain parks with tons of features as well as 30-50 foot jumps and hits.
Night skiing is available on 30% of the trails on Thursdays through Sundays.
