The season lasted 152 days (beginning with Sugar Mountain and Cataloochee opening on November 7th and closing with Timberline's last day on April 6th) and be all accounts it was a very successful season. Timberline is now the only ski area operating in the south-eastern United States. With 24 trails still open, the resort plans for closing weekend festivities April 4-6, 2008.
